As kitchen manager, Lori expresses her care through food, turning meals into a way to nourish and connect. In her free time she volunteers across the Bay Area, supporting unhoused people in many ways—from providing rides to essential appointments to helping them locate resources.

Danny Hays
Outreach Coordinator
God has led me to exactly where I’m at and the path I chose was his. As the Outreach Coordinator for Street Life Ministries, it is my responsibility to bring services to our un-housed. With a loving and compassionate approach, Danny takes to the streets. Danny was an un-housed Veteran with substance abuse issues and PTSD. My bottom was pushing a shopping cart with no shoes on and strung out. Thanks to God and a twelve-step program I have been clean and sober since August 30th, 2019.

Ethan Bates
Development Specialist/Site Supervisor
Ethan Bates is a driven teen and the youngest member of the Street Life Ministries team who attends high school in Mountain View. Ethan’s journey at Street Life started in 2021 when he helped wash dishes at Peninsula Covenant Church, however it was in 2025 that he started work on the grant team and found that Street Life was the best hands on organization to do real good. When he is not working on development for Street Life, he spends his time interning at a human rights law firm, coaching his mock trial team, spending time with his loved ones, boxing, surfing, and at the site in Redwood City. Ethan is forever grateful for the opportunities that Street Life has given him and can’t wait to get more work done!

Jesus drew me to him when I was in my twenties. I grew in a loving family. However, I didn’t have much exposure to the church. For me it was a radical change because I was real good at doing my own thing and whatever I wanted to do. When I put my faith in Jesus, I was so happy that I was forgiven that I couldn’t help but want to live for Him.
I started volunteering in Sunday school and then in the Youth Ministry and was having a lot of fun growing and helping other students grow. Then one day as I was working in sales for a software company, I woke up and realized that I want to work with youth full time and wanted to be a pastor. It was an awesome feeling knowing that God had a plan and calling for my life. God was preparing me along the way and eventually I was hired as a Youth Pastor and I worked with youth for 20 years. Currently I am the Missions Pastor at Trinity Church of Sunnyvale overseeing the Gateway Neighborhood Center and all local and global missions. We partner with different organizations to serve the City of Sunnyvale including the homeless.
